In her captivating project, "The Way to Oneself," Aleksandra Iarnova embarks on a poignant journey of self-discovery, exploring the layers of her identity hidden behind various "social masks." Prior to this endeavor, she had not fully grasped the significance of her "social image" or the challenges of presenting her authentic self to the world.

Shaped by the influences of the Soviet system from a young age, Aleksandra found herself navigating both external constraints and internal barriers. Through the lens of creative photography, she attempted to capture her true essence, only to discover the complexities of revealing oneself authentically.

"The Way to Oneself" serves as a narrative of introspection, inviting viewers to contemplate the journey of self-discovery. Using a white dress as a symbolic representation of societal masks, Aleksandra portrays the gradual process of shedding these facades and embracing her true identity.

Over the course of two months, Aleksandra's project became a testament to her growing sense of liberation and self-assurance. Through her artistic expression, she illuminates the transformative power of embracing authenticity in a world dominated by societal expectations.
